Focus on Trivago’s list of the best hotels on the Internet. Accommodations are evaluated on several criteria such as comfort, design, cleanliness, quality of services, etc. The ranking was based on the ratings of internet users on 34 booking sites.

The 5-star hotel that comes out on top is the Petit Hôtel Confidentiel in Chambéry. It is located in the heart of the historic centre of the Savoyard town. It is an establishment steeped in history, where the writer Jean-Jacques Rousseau came to rest. A former private mansion, it retains a warm and intimate atmosphere. Rated 95 out of 100, it is appreciated by tourists for its quality/price ratio, its pleasant atmosphere and its elegant and contemporary decoration.

The best 4 star hotel is the Fabric in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. This accommodation in Oberkampf, rue de la Folie-Méricourt is rated 93 out of 100. In the 19th century, it was an industrial and artisanal area during the day that turned into a lively cabaret district in the evening. This atmosphere is preserved thanks to the unique decoration of the hotel.

The favorite 3 star hotel of the French is the Relais des Halles which is located in the 1st district of Paris this time. It scores 94 out of 100 thanks to its typical French charm with antique furniture and colourful decoration.

The best hotel service in France is awarded to the Astotel-123 Sébastopol, still located in the capital, in the 2nd district. A luxury and unusual hotel, it pays homage to the seventh art, whether in the themes of the rooms or in the decoration and it even has a cinema room with private screenings.

The last note is for the breakfast service. The Pullman de Bercy hotel, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, is very popular with travellers. The bistronomic restaurant offers a gargantuan buffet with flavours that will delight gourmets.

The best hotels according to Fundex

Another ranking is that of Fundex OC&C, which asked more than 40,000 people in eight different countries to give their opinions on 650 hotel, restaurant and leisure brands. French brands are highly rated in all categories. Let’s look specifically at hotel brands in this case.

In the category of best accommodation, Relais & Châteaux took first place on the podium. Voters were unanimous on the cleanliness, quality of rest and rooms and the restaurant service.
Marriott and Mercure follow in second and third place respectively. The rest of the top 10 is occupied by Sofitel, Hilton, Hyatt, Logis Hotel, Inter Continental, Novotel and Best Western.

Relais & Château also won first place for the fastest service coupled with an efficient and pleasant welcome. The top-of-the-range appeals to both leisure and business travellers. Hilton and MSC Cruises are also on the podium.

As for the best hotel and holiday park, Center Parcs won the top 1, Pierre & Vacances the top 2 and Club Med the top 3. Center Parcs is appreciated by the French for its rich environment, the diversity of activities on offer and the quality of the accommodation.

Tripadvisor is a gigantic player in Internet tourism. It provides customer reviews and advice on hotels. It also provides accommodation booking tools.
It is the reference in terms of traveller reviews. With millions of users worldwide, Tripadvisor can determine the top 20 hotels in France that are most popular with the community, from luxury hotels to family-friendly accommodations.
