Alioze takes stock of the various rankings of the <strong>French&#8217;s favourite food brands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The most liked food brands on the networks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Nutella brand has the largest French community on Facebook with over 31 million followers.<\/li>\n<li>Carambar has 45.5 thousand followers on Twitter.<\/li>\n<li>Milka holds the number one spot on YouTube with a channel followed by 21,000 subscribers.<\/li>\n<li>Burger King is the number one food brand on Instagram with 324,000 followers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Top 10 most consumed food brands in 2019<\/h2>\n<p>Each year, Kantar WorldPanel reveals, through its Brand Footprint study, the brands most appreciated by consumers. To make this ranking, Kantar calculates the number of purchases and their frequency in the food and drink sector.<\/p>\n<p>The study is based on 73% of the world&#8217;s population. One billion households in 52 countries are covered. In the international ranking, the French company Danone wins the vote. Although Danone does not appear in the top 10 most consumed food brands in France, eight of them are still French. Drive-through and home delivery have exploded during this period. The Nielsen Institute analyzed online product sales over a year between June 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the top 10 food brands that continue to do well via e-commerce:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Herta<\/li>\n<li>Lu France<\/li>\n<li>Coca-Cola<\/li>\n<li>Pampers in non-food<\/li>\n<li>Fleury Michon<\/li>\n<li>The Gaul<\/li>\n<li>Charal<\/li>\n<li>President<\/li>\n<li>Yoplait<\/li>\n<li>Cristaline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Top 5 Most Bought Foods and Beverages in Stores<\/h2>\n<p>In 2018, the Nielsen firm had published a ranking of the most purchased food references in drives and stores.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Carte Noire coffee with its intense aroma (2 x 250 g) took first place on the podium with 75 million in sales, but also third place with a different packaging (3 x 250 g).<\/li>\n<li>Ferrero Rocher milk\/hazelnut chocolates were in second place with 70 million euros.<br \/>\nThe 250g tub of President&#8217;s Sweet Butter comes in fourth place with 62 million.<\/li>\n<li>Nutella &#8211; which also belongs to the Ferrero group &#8211; takes 5th place, but also the next three places in all its different containers. In total, this represents a 55% market share of household purchases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As far as drinks are concerned, the one-litre Ricard bottle is the big winner with a turnover of 275 million euros in 2018 just ahead of the Cristaline six-pack which accounts for 225 million in turnover. In third place comes the 20-pack of Heineken 25 cl.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Food: the favourite category of the French<\/h2>\n<p>Another ranking, that of the Grand livre des Marques, published in September 2018, which revealed the favorite brands of the French. 4,900 French people liked or disliked the 1,100 brand names and logos across all sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Food and beverage is the favorite category with a like score above 58%. High-end and organic brands have a significant share, such as Michel &amp; Augustin, Kusmi Tea and Bjorg.<\/p>\n<p>In the grocery category, Lu is in the lead. Lindt and Panzani are also on the podium. For fresh and frozen products, La Laiti\u00e8re won first place, Magnum second and Carte d&#8217;Or third.<\/p>\n<p>As for soft drinks, Cristaline is in first place, followed by Evian and Tropicana. Leffe, Desperado and Mo\u00ebt et Chandon are the leaders in the alcoholic beverage category.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Top 10 most popular supermarkets in France<\/h2>\n<p>A study by Statista in April 2020 looked at the <strong>French&#8217;s favourite supermarkets<\/strong>. 12,000 people were surveyed to find out where they buy their food.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>53% of those surveyed visit Leclerc Group stores<\/li>\n<li>50% Carrefour Group<\/li>\n<li>44% go to Lidl<\/li>\n<li>39% at Intermarch\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>31% in Auchan stores<\/li>\n<li>18% in a Syst\u00e8me U store<\/li>\n<li>16% at Aldi<\/li>\n<li>14% at Casino<\/li>\n<li>12% at Leader Price<\/li>\n<li>10% to Picard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Top 10 most eco-friendly supermarkets in France<\/h2>\n<p>Another market is quietly developing in parallel, that of responsible purchasing. More and more French people want to consume better by knowing the origin of the products and prefer organic products. The supermarket industry is also trying to respond to these new desires. The Yougov firm is offering a &#8220;barometer of the positive and sustainable economy&#8221; in September 2019.
